TrimUI Brick — Custom firmware

Quick answer

Button combo

microSD swap(keep stock card as backup)

Steps

  1. 1Pick a CFW that supports the Brick: MinUI, NextUI, Knulli, muOS or CrossMix-OS.
  2. 2Use a fresh microSD/TF card so your stock card stays as a fallback.
  3. 3FAT32-format the card and extract the CFW's BASE (and EXTRAS) to its root.
  4. 4Insert the card and boot; first boot may take several minutes to install.
  5. 5Add ROMs/BIOS to the Roms and Bios folders; emulators run on RetroArch cores.

The Brick is well supported by community firmware. MinUI and its actively-developed fork NextUI offer a minimalist front end; Knulli (Batocera-based) and muOS give a fuller EmulationStation-style experience; CrossMix-OS is a feature-rich option that grew out of the Smart Pro scene. Most install by simply copying the firmware to a FAT32 card root — no PC flashing tool needed — and keeping your original stock card untouched lets you switch back any time.

FAQ

Which custom firmware supports the Brick?
MinUI, NextUI, Knulli and muOS all run on the Brick (TG3040). CrossMix-OS added Brick support after its earlier Smart Pro-only releases — confirm the current version lists the Brick before flashing.
Can I go back to stock?
Yes. Because CFW lives on the SD card, swapping back to your stock card (or re-flashing the SD base package) returns you to TrimUI OS.
