The original Smart predates the rich CFW scene of the newer TrimUI handhelds, but a legacy MinUI release was built for it (shared with the Model S). It installs by copying the BASE files to a FAT32 card root and booting; the Smart then sets MinUI up automatically. Note this repository is archived and limited to older systems, and MinUI compatibility was tied to the older 0.105 stock firmware — newer stock builds may not work with it, so keep your stock card as a backup.

FAQ

Which custom firmware works on the original Smart?
The legacy MinUI build for the TrimUI Smart/Model S is the main option. The newer CrossMix-OS, NextUI, Knulli and muOS target the later Smart Pro and Brick, not the original Smart.
Is there a firmware-version catch?
Yes — the legacy MinUI was compatible with the older stock firmware (around 0.105). If a newer stock build broke MinUI, downgrading restored it. Check the MinUI readme for your version.
