Steps

There are two levels of reset. A quick reset (hold PAIR for 3s) drops the current Bluetooth link and puts the controller back into pairing mode — this fixes most “won't reconnect” problems. A full factory reset clears all stored hosts and custom profiles and is done over USB-C from 8BitDo Ultimate Software.

FAQ

Will a reset erase my custom profiles?
The quick PAIR reset does not. A full factory reset via the software does — re-export your profiles first if you want to keep them.
